Welcome to my home.

I spend so much time sharing our clients’ homes that I thought it might be fun to invite you into my own—starting with my favorite room in the house.

This is my kitchen, and if I’m being honest, it’s probably the space that best reflects who I am and how I like to live.

When I designed it, I wasn’t trying to create a showpiece. I wanted a kitchen that felt warm, welcoming, and ready for whatever the day brought. My style has always leaned traditional with a little Southern influence, so that naturally found its way into the design.

There are so many details in this space that I still love. The statement lighting gives the room personality from the moment you walk in. The natural stone on the perimeter countertops brings movement and character that only real stone can. The scalloped backsplash adds just enough texture and charm, while the V-groove detailing is one of my favorite touches because it feels classic and architectural without screaming for attention. Paired with warm white cabinetry and walnut accents, the whole room feels comfortable, collected, and lived in.

But the truth is, the design isn’t what makes this kitchen special.

My husband loves to cook. Really loves to cook. He also has a remarkable ability to use every pot, pan, and dish in the house while doing it. Somewhere along the way, our boys picked up that same passion, and this kitchen became the place where so much of our life happens.

It’s where friends gather around the island. It’s where holidays begin. It’s where we celebrate birthdays, catch up after long days, and spend way more time than we probably should standing around talking long after dinner is over.

Some of my favorite memories as a mom have happened right here.

As my boys have gotten older, I’ve realized how much I cherish those ordinary moments. The quick weeknight dinners. The laughter that comes out of nowhere. The recipes we make over and over again. The conversations that happen when nobody is in a hurry to be somewhere else.

One of my best friends always says this is her favorite restaurant, and honestly, I know exactly what she means.

Because the best kitchens aren’t necessarily the fanciest ones. They’re the ones that draw people in. The ones where everyone naturally gathers. The ones that become the backdrop for a life well lived.

That’s what I hope to create for every client, and it’s exactly what this kitchen has been for our family.

Without question, it’s still my favorite project.

xo, Tonya
